The Role

We are recruiting experienced 1:1 Tutors in the Oxford area to provide personalised tuition to children and young people with a range of additional needs.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver engaging lessons tailored to each learner’s individual abilities, needs, and interests. Building strong, trusting relationships is essential to promoting engagement and creating a positive learning experience.

Role Details

  • Location: Face-to-face sessions in the learner’s home, local library, or community centre
  • Position: 1:1 Tutor
  • Hours: Part-time and full-time opportunities available
    • Most referrals are between 10–15 hours per week
    • Full-time tutors typically support multiple students
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Subjects: English and Maths

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH)
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
  • A flexible, supportive, and learner-centred approach
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
