Core Curriculum
We collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders to provide tailored programs that help young people achieve their desired outcomes. Our proposal outlines the delivery of alternative provision (AP) with a focus on education, achievement and personal development. We rigorously assess progress to meet each pupil's needs, aligning our efforts with Local Authority strategies.
Our provision ranges from Reception to Post-16, with a range of strategies used to engage young people from the first point of contact.

Initially, tutors aim to identify areas of interest that they can use to inform their learning. For example, if a young person is interested in a football team or a computer game, the tutor will use this in their lessons.
In Math's, the tutor may look at league tables and numbers when looking at algebra or number sequences. They could also research the football stadium and team as part of history and geography and as part of the ASDAN course module on independent research the pupil can elect to research their hobby. This often enables the tutor to foster a more positive experience of learning compared to previous efforts.
Tutors are all trained in CPI, our behavior approach, which is a trauma informed approach, colleagues use this when initially working with young people ensuring that body language, types of communication, even non-verbal are all delivered within the prescribed support plan.
We offer an ambitious programme designed to equip pupils with the knowledge and cultural capital necessary for success to integrate into the wider community. Our curriculum lead ensures that the curriculum is coherently planned and sequenced to build sufficient knowledge and skills for future learning and employment. We use nurturing techniques and follow the national curriculum, tailoring our approach to match each pupil’s capabilities.
This enables pupils to achieve appropriate qualifications and make excellent progress while nurturing their talents and interests through a blend of classroom and virtual e-learning. Beyond the curriculum, we emphasise personal development by offering a bespoke social, emotional, and wellbeing package.
We achieve successful engagement with young people through our inclusive approach, focusing on desired outcomes, achievements, and progression. Our pre-provision meetings with their families/carers are crucial in ensuring a tailored approach that identifies key interests, enabling us to engage the pupil more effectively.
By leveraging previous plans and reports from partners, commissioning bodies, local authorities, and other involved organisations, we create a positive and structured approach that ensures outcomes are met. We offer one-to-one, two-to-one, and small group tuition services, supporting pupils from Reception through to Key Stage 5 with up to 15 hours of provision per week.
